Online EMDR Therapy Intensive for Adults

Pennsylvania, Florida, and South Carolina

If continuing weekly therapy was the answer, it would've worked by now.

Immersive, focused work for burnout, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and overwhelm.

You Did The Work: This Is For What's Left

You know what you're doing. You probably know why. You still feel bad for days.

You set a boundary. You know it's self-care. You're still afraid you did something wrong.

You send the email. You didn't rewrite it 100 times. You still worry it sounds stupid.

That immediate reaction didn't come from nowhere.

It kept you out of trouble.

It's still trying to help you, but now it's causing problems.

That's the piece we work on with EMDR.

This Isn't Three Hours Of Talking In Circles

We get honest about why you're still having an emotional reaction.

We focus on what's coming up for you now.

We notice what changes as we go.

No small talk.

No spending half the session catching me up.

No pretending that understanding something automatically changes it.

Who You'll Be Working With

Chris Prebble, Licensed Professional Counselor, sitting at eye level across from the camera — what it looks like to sit across from your therapist during an online therapy intensive

Christine "Chris" Prebble, MS, BSL, NCC, LPC.

Completed EMDRIA-approved Basic Training through Scaling Up.

Throughout my 21+ years working in mental health, I kept noticing the same thing. Clients were changing their behavior, but the underlying feeling was still there. They set boundaries they know are good, then apologize over and over. They make a minor mistake at work, then repeatedly ask if they're getting fired. They can't understand why what they know logically and what they feel inside don't match. This is why I started offering EMDR Intensives.

EMDR Intensive FAQs

What is an EMDR Therapy Intensive?

An EMDR intensive is focused work without the usual stop-and-start of weekly therapy.

We carve out 3 uninterrupted hours (except for small breaks) to deal with what's underneath.

Can EMDR be done online?

Yes.

I use remotEMDR — secure, HIPAA-compliant video software that embeds bilateral stimulation into the session. You'll follow a moving image on your screen, listen to alternating tones, or both.

Who are intensives for?

They work well for people who are everybody else's emergency contact and have no idea how to need anything themselves.

Why choose an EMDR Intensive instead of weekly therapy?

Weekly sessions are often consumed by the crisis of the week. Intensives give us 3 hours to work on why the emotional reaction is still there.

How many intensives do people usually do?

Some people get what they need in 1 session. Others choose 2 or 3 over time. We'll decide based on your goals.

Can I do an intensive if I already have a therapist?

Yes.

With your consent, this work can complement ongoing therapy.

Do you take insurance?

Intensives are private pay; I don't bill insurance directly. If you have out-of-network benefits and want to use them, I will provide a superbill upon request. You contact your insurance and submit claims directly. I do not guarantee reimbursement; it fully depends on your plan. You can also sign an insurance opt-out form if you choose not to involve your insurance at all.

Do I have to live in Pennsylvania, Florida, or South Carolina to have an intensive?

No.

You just need to be physically located in Pennsylvania, Florida, or South Carolina when we meet — for your pre-intensive, intensive, and follow-up sessions. Some people travel specifically for this because they need physical distance from loved ones to focus on themselves.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, including related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

Referring A Client?

Your client finally hangs out with their friends. Then spends the next session on how guilty they felt the whole time.

You’ve both done the work. They’ve come so far. The logic and emotional response just won’t match.

An EMDR intensive gives that reaction 3 focused hours without taking over the work you’re already doing together.

I do the intensive. Your client comes back to you.

With your client’s consent, we can coordinate so we’re working in their best interest.
