When Life Feels Harder Than It Should

exhausted parent with a laptop and phone, surrounded by kids' toys, dirty dishes and laundry, struggling with work-life balance

You’re smart, capable, and doing your best... but it still feels like too much.

Maybe you’re constantly overwhelmed, burned out, or struggling to stay organized. You start the week with good intentions… but end up stuck, drained, or beating yourself up for falling behind.

Maybe your emotions feel too big or too buried ~you shut down, lash out, or freeze in the moments that matter most.

Maybe you carry guilt from how you were raised ~you feel like you’re parenting without a roadmap.

Maybe you're exhausted from trying to explain yourself in relationships ~you're tired of feeling unseen, unheard, or like you’re always “too much” for the people around you.

Maybe you've tried therapy before and you still feel like no one quite connected the dots.

If any of this feels familiar ~you’re not alone and you're not failing.

You're carrying more than most people realize, and it's okay to get support.

What Changes When Therapy Fits Who You Truly Are

When you work with a therapist who understands both ADHD and complex emotional patterns, things start to shift

~not overnight, but in ways that finally make sense.

image of a confident person who is organized and successfully manages the demands of home, work, and relationships

You begin to:

  • Understand your behaviors instead of blaming yourself for them

  • Regulate emotions more easily, even under pressure

  • Set and hold boundaries without guilt or second-guessing

  • Communicate more clearly with your partner, kids, or coworkers

  • Feel less overwhelmed and more confident in your own brain

  • Let go of survival strategies that no longer serve you

  • Recognize what healthy relationships actually feel like

Most of all, you stop feeling like you have to “fix” yourself

~you start learning how to work with

your brain and nervous system...

not against them.

You don’t need to be perfect to feel better... just willing to take one small step at a time.

I am also someone who was diagnosed with ADHD at age 36, a parent to three amazing kids with ADHD (one who also has autism), a Gigi to 3 beautiful grandchildren (with one on the way), and someone who understands how exhausting it can feel to keep “holding it all together while everything falls apart..."

"I've never had a therapist who actually helped me before Chris. I knew it was possible, so I kept trying...for years. It finally paid off and it's better than I thought it would be. Chris gets me, she has practical tools, and she never makes me feel judged. I used to leave therapy with a splitting headache and a boatload of frustration. Questions You Might Be Asking

Do you only work online?

Yes ~all sessions are held through a 100% secure, HIPAA-compliant Telehealth video platform

What state do you work in?

I am licensed in Pennsylvania and registered to provide Telehealth in Florida and South Carolina

How is your approach different from other therapists?

I offer a practical, experience-informed approach ~grounded in 21+ years of working in the mental health field and lived experience with ADHD. I focus on what actually works for your nervous system and life, not just talking through problems. Many clients tell me this feels like the first time therapy "actually made sense."

Can you help if you have ADHD too?

Yes ~and that’s one reason many people feel at ease here. I was diagnosed as an adult after years of burnout and frustration. That experience helps me spot what others miss, and offer support without judgment or unrealistic expectations.

Can I do an ADHD assessment without starting therapy?

Yes ~some people come to me just for an assessment; others already have a diagnosis and only want therapy. We’ll talk through what you need and decide together.

Do you only work with people who have ADHD or Autism?

Not at all. I specialize in supporting people who’ve always felt “different,” overwhelmed, or misunderstood ~whether or not there's a formal diagnosis. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, stress, emotional reactivity, or parenting challenges.

Why don’t you take insurance; isn’t therapy expensive?

Therapy is an investment, and I understand it’s not always easy. I choose not to work with insurance so I can offer care that’s more private, individualized, and aligned with what you actually need ~not what a company says you need or they will approve.

Many clients are still able to get reimbursement through Mentaya, a tool that makes submitting claims simple. I’m happy to walk you through your options during your consultation. We can check your benefits and I submit the claims... you don't have any of the paperwork stress.
